Torque Spec for Dust Boot Installation
It's possible to over-tighten your Dust Boot top plate onto your spindle. We've had breakage because they are over-torqued. We've improved the design, but we suggest you use a torque-limiting screwdriver or wrench. Here are a few options below:
Our suggested torque spec is 16 in•lb or 1.8 NM
DO NOT torque over 18 in•lb or 1.8 Nm
