Create Components from Bodies in Fusion 360



It's best practice to Create Components for each part. Typically this is best to do as you're creating, not after but things happen.


We need each body to be converted to a component to speed up our nesting and quoting process. To do so, the quickest way if you haven't done this while modeling is:


  • Shift-select Bodies in the Tree
  • Right Click on any of the selected bodies
  • Select "Create Components from Bodies"
  • Bonus - Rename Each Item something useful
