Turn off Soft Limits on ShopSabre WinCNC

Turn off Soft Limits on a WinCNC-controlled ShopSabre

Type L21   in the command line and push enter.

You can now jog the machine past the safe Soft limits and potentially crash the machine.

L20  will turn the soft limits back on (or running any program, tool changing, or setting a tool height).

You might want to do this for testing how our Dust Boot or accessories might interact with your ATC rack or tool probes.

Before Auto Tool Changing a new Dust Boot brush + Spacer

Especially next to the ShopSabre Tool probe. Do this:

  1. Take out the tool in the spot you want to test AND in the spindle
  2. Turn off soft limits (L21 command)
  3. Change to Slow or Medium jog speed
  4. Jog the tool change without a tool to make sure it won't also crash
  5. Jog back out of the "danger zone" - into soft limit area
  6. Put your tools back as they were.
